On self-sacrifice. “Those who would be my disciples must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and the gospel will save it. What good is it for you to gain the whole world yet forfeit your soul? Or what can you give in exchange for your soul?”
